All-Natural Spider Repellant Window Spray - Recipe
Share
We've previously posted about our ALL-NATURAL WINDOW CLEANING SPRAY recipe, but some of you have asked if we had any tips or tricks up our sleeve for repelling insects, and spiders in particular. The answer is, heck yes!
Ingredients:
1. Cleaning Vinegar - 1 cup
Acts as a natural deterrent for spiders due to its strong scent. Note: You can also use cooking White Vinegar, but... the more potent, the more likely to be effective.
2. Water - 1 cup
Dilutes vinegar and makes it safe for spraying on all surfaces.
3. Essential Oils - 10-15 drops
Peppermint Oil is the secret sauce! Crazy fun fact, spiders dislike peppermint.
- Alternatively, you can use Tea Tree Oil or Eucalyptus Oil as these oils are also known to repel spiders.
4. Household Dish Soap - 1 teaspoon
Helps the solution to stick to surfaces and enhances its effectiveness. Obviously we recommend an all-natural solvent free dish detergent, but whatever you have lying around your kitchen will do the trick.
Instructions:
1. Mix Ingredients
In a spray bottle, combine ingredients listed above. Shake thoroughly.
2. Application
Spray the mixture around window frames, corners, and other areas where spiders are likely to enter. Be sure to test a small area first to ensure it doesn’t affect the surface.
3. Reapply as Needed
Reapply the spray every few days or after cleaning the area to maintain its effectiveness.
That's it, that's all! It couldn't be more simple. Hope this all-natural spider repelling recipe is helpful! It's worked wonders for our team and clients for years.
