"Window Washer" - A Song by Bo Burnham

In May 2021, a year into the pandemic, also a year into the demise of my 12 year partnership (TMI), comedian Bo Burnham dropped a comedy special unlike any that had come before it. "INSIDE" was written, recorded, and edited by Bo himself, exclusively in what at least appears to be a one bedroom apartment, during a self-imposed quasi creative quarantine. 

I'd be lying if I said I didn't completely binge "INSIDE" when it first came out. Not only is Bo an extremely talented comedian/musician/visual artist, but Bo's commentary on mental health, media, and community really struck a chord, at a time I was seeking for something to connect with.  

During a short 1 minute intermission, Bo cleans the lense of the camera, effectively collapsing the 4th wall. Post interlude the film takes a noticeably darker turn in tone. The name of the song soundtracking this pivot point? "Window Washer". 

 I... feel... seen.
